Tips & Tricks for Great Photos
Photos of animals can be improved tremendously by keeping a few details in mind.
1: Check the lighting first and position yourself so that the animal is somewhat side lit. This creates contour shadows that enhance their features.
2: Get down to their level. This enables your shot to get a more natural posture and relationship to their surroundings.
3: Put your camera on "burst" mode and take several shots at once. One of those will be the perfect shot.
4: Get your animals attention so that they are looking straight into the camera. I've been known to put treats on my head to get that "I love you" look.
